Prisoners of Laughter
Somewhere in the United States is
the Henning Women’s Correctional
Facility, better known as Henning
Prison. An experiment in penal
psychology, the warden, the guards,
and all the staff members are women;
there isn’t a man anywhere in the
place. The experiment seems to be
working; disciplinary incidents are
nearly non-existent, and recidivism
among released prisoners is a record
low. Barbara Benton, the warden of
Henning Prison, is praised for the
results she has achieved with the
prisoners under her supervision. But
inside the walls of Henning lurks a
dark secret; the method Warden
Benton uses to get these results!
